The Royal Oman Police offers several tourist eVisa categories. The most common are the 26A Tourist eVisa (single entry, allowing up to 10 days of stay), the 26B Tourist eVisa (single entry, allowing up to 30 days of stay), and the 36B 1-Year Multiple Entry eVisa (allowing stays of up to 30 days per visit). There is also a special GCC Resident eVisa (Type 29A) for expatriates holding valid residency permits and eligible professions in Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The Sultanate of Oman enforces strict penalties for overstaying. Travelers who exceed their authorized stay are fined 10 Omani Rials (approximately 26 USD) per day of overstay upon exit. In addition to monetary fines, overstaying can result in airport delays, questioning by immigration authorities, and potential entry bans for future visits to the Sultanate.

Immigration authorities and airlines operating flights to Muscat (MCT) and Salalah (SLL) strongly recommend carrying a printed hard copy of your approved eVisa document. Border officers at checkpoint gates will examine your physical passport and printed eVisa confirmation before stamping your entry into the Sultanate.
