Pro tips
Cambodia travel tips for Thai citizens
Currency
US dollars are used everywhere alongside Cambodian Riel. Bring clean, untorn notes; change under $1 comes back in Riel.
Best time to visit
November to February is dry and cooler. April is the hottest month; the rains run June to October.
Connectivity
A tourist SIM is $2–3 from Metfone or Smart at the airport. Coverage is good in cities and at the temples.
Health
No vaccinations are required for entry. Travel insurance is sensible — medical care outside Phnom Penh is limited.
Keep your e-Arrival QR
After you submit the free e-Arrival card, save or screenshot its QR code. Printing it is fine too.
Getting around
PassApp and Grab work in the cities. Tuk-tuks are cheap but agree the fare before you set off.
